You can simply use any ftp-client on your device, be it PDA , smartphone or laptop, to upload your blog via ftp ! The advantages are quite obvious, by using ftp you will save 30% of data traffic compared to using email ! Besides that, the server for your Wordpress page can be separated from the server for your datafiles, so the Wordpress page loads much faster as media-files are downloaded from another server.
